Oh, another blog.
I want to say I started with that free page on AOL or GeoCities. Then, it escalated to LiveJournal, Diaryland, Xanga, MySpace blogs post, Twitter, status updates, Tumblr, etc. I once ran an “e-zine” while I was in middle school that I titled “Pink Mascara.” Yes, I’m from that generation of kids whose growth was positively correlated to that of the internet. The trouble with having access to the web at a young age is that everything you put out there when you were 14 (heck, at 21, even) is just pure cringe. My frontal lobe wasn’t fully developed. What a terrible, terrible time to be publishing my angsty thoughts. I’ve since tried to refrain from sharing too much personal information with the public. Most of all that has been taken down. Frantically, I scroll through my Facebook memories trying to rid the damage. So, why are we here?
My life has been a whirlwind thus far, and I haven’t even reached the tail end of it. Have you ever asked yourself, “what am I doing”? Now that I’m older (and, hopefully, wiser) and finally finding myself at somewhat of a steady pace, I can stop to think - even jot down a thing or two. This past couple of years, I’ve learned a lot about my individuality and what I’m looking to squeeze out of life. I can say with confidence that I am happy and I am loving it. I’m not the type to shove advice down people’s throats; however, I do feel I have much to share that may help someone. I’m, again, opening up my world to you. I hope you find inspiration in my journey and that I may be able to reflect without making my future self cringe.
